We encourage incense devotees to experience Korean incense for a unique sensory experience. Virtually unknown in the US., Korean incense has a long tradition all its own.
This incense, named Suk Hyang, is made of a rare incense wood found only on Ullung-do Island off the east coast of Korea. Related to the Chinese Juniper and Cedar, a tree trunk several hundred years old grows only 3" or 4" in diameter. Suk Hyang is very rare and is hand made in small batches by a Zen Buddhist monk. Comes in a reusable carved wood container that holds approximately 28 sticks of 5 3/4" incense.
